The Honorable Judge Stacey Schulman

Friday was all about the election process in fourth grade. The students were fortunate enough to have the Honorable Judge Stacey Schulman teach them all about voting, the primary and general elections, the importance of voting, items on a ballot, campaigning, endorsements, a judge’s role and job description, the difference between an elected and appointed judge, and a day in the life of a judge. She was able to share all about her experience in getting elected as a judge in Broward County.

After the presentation, each student got an opportunity to dress in the judge's official robe and pose with her gavel.  They enjoyed the power so much that we may have a few future judges!

The students also got to make a “Get Out and Vote” poster to encourage others to exercise their civic duty, because they learned how important every vote can be in an election.

We could not be more thankful for the opportunity to learn from such an influential and exceptional person. Thanks for such an amazing learning experience Judge Schulman! J
